You are never too young - or too old to learn! |
Lifelong Learning is about learning to give you new skills for your education, work or retirement or just provide enjoyment in pursuing knowledge about a subject that interests you - on your own or in the company of like-minded people.
This new website will aim to provide a one-stop resource for Lifelong Learning opportunities in Shrewsbury and neighbouring areas of Shropshire.
It will provide a portal to the websites of colleges, universities and other bodies that provide 'formal' learning opportunities.
It will also provide information about 'informal' learning opportunities such as museums, art galleries and the Darwin Country website; also the activities of local clubs and societies that organise talks and excursions on a wide range of subjects such as archaeology, wildlife, gardening and geology.
To see what local talks or other events you could attend in Shrewsbury this week click on the following link:-

If you think that your club or society programme would be of interest to Lifelong Learners in the Shrewsbury area, please send details to Peter Boyd, Lead Officer for the Lifelong Learning Theme Group for the Shrewsbury & Atcham Community Strategy Partnership at
